This is the Canada - Marine Mammal Observer program tailored to the Atlantic. The course shall focus on mitigation processes of offshore and coastal programs that may impact marine mammals and other megafauna. This course consists of 4 weeks of online theory plus a field component, which will take place on May 30th in the St. John's area of Newfoundland.

The Seabird Observer course is an intensive training program that focuses on the ‘Eastern Canada seabirds at sea (ECSAS) standardized protocol for pelagic seabird surveys from moving and stationary platforms’ (Gjerdrum et al, 2012). The course is delivered over 4 weeks online with an additional in-person session and at-sea practical, which will take place on May 30th in the St. John's area of Newfoundland.
