Supporting Ocean Literacy

At EDGEWISE Environmental, we believe that ocean literacy is paramount in improving the health and conservation of the ocean, its resources, and all who call it home. That’s why each year we sponsor local initiatives and organizations whose goal is to improve overall ocean health, and inform and educate the members of our society about the importance of conserving ocean resources.

To help support these local entities, EDGEWISE Environmental donates 100% of the proceeds earned from our clothing sales through our local vendor, In the Box Media Promotions. Here, we sell EDGEWISE branded merchandise such as t-shirts, sweaters, hats, and reusable water bottles.

2021 and 2022: Clean Harbours Initiative

This year, we are happy to be donating to the Clean Harbours Initiative, locally owned and operated by Shawn Bath headquartered out of Twillingate, NL.

Since the inception of Clean Harbours Initiative, Shawn and other volunteer divers have been removing ocean trash, tires, and ghost nets from Newfoundland harbours. They have removed over 17,000 car tires and more than 40,000 pounds of garbage from the coastal waters surrounding NL. CHI is founded on the strong belief that removing marine plastics, trash, and ghost gear is essential to restoring healthy ocean ecosystems. At Edgewise we take our corporate social responsibility very seriously and supporting initiatives such as the Clean Harbours Initiative is a crucial step towards a healthier future for our oceans.
