The Seabird Observer course is an intensive training program that focuses on the ‘Eastern Canada seabirds at sea (ECSAS) standardized protocol for pelagic seabird surveys from moving and stationary platforms’ (Gjerdrum et al, 2012). The course is delivered over 4 weeks online with an additional in-person session and at-sea practical, which will take place on May 5th in the St. John's area of Newfoundland.

The Edgewise Environmental Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) Operator course is a comprehensive 3 week (online) + practical program that focuses on passive acoustic mitigation processes of marine environmental projects that may impact marine mammals. This course consists of 3 weeks of online theory, with two in-person sessions taking place on May 3rd and 4th in Newfoundland.

Canada-MMO Bridging Program : ONLINE

The C-MMO Bridging program is meant for those who have already successfully completed another recognized marine mammal certification and have global experience. This trainee is already familiar with the general processes involved in being an MMO and expectations. This course is delivered entirely online, there is no practical session.
