Chief Executive Officer
Ashley holds an M.Sc in International Marine Environmental Consultancy from Newcastle University (UK), a B.Sc in Biology from Memorial University of Newfoundland, and a Masters Certificate in Project Management from York University.
She has over a decade of global offshore experience working in a variety of environmental roles.
Ashley has spent over 20 years working and volunteering in the areas of marine mammal husbandry, marine mammal physiology and cognition.
Ashley currently instructs a fourth year Biology field course at Memorial University.
She is an active member of the community and currently sits on the board of directors for econext (the provincial environmental industry association), Oceans Advance, and Perchance Theatre Company. She is a strong advocate for women in STEM and general ocean literacy.
Junior Marine Biologist
Jennifer holds a B.Sc in Ocean Sciences with a minor in Geography from Memorial University of Newfoundland. She is currently completing her Masters in Fisheries Resource Management at the Marine Institute of Memorial University.
She has extensive experience in the identification and handling of marine organisms, fisheries policy and management, and working offshore on commercial fishing vessels. She is trained in the identification of Atlantic commercial fish species as well as fish and marine mammals listed on the Species at Risk Act (SARA).
Jennifer enjoys spending her free time outside exploring Newfoundland with family and friends. She is an avid hiker and takes part in recreational fishing activities. She also loves dancing, and traveling to new places.
Marketing and Business Development Support / Logistics Coordinator
Emily holds a diploma in Business Management (Marketing) from the College of the North Atlantic.
She has extensive customer service experience, and spent two years studying business at Memorial University of Newfoundland.
Emily enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and seeing new parts of Newfoundland.
Social Media and Marketing Assistant
Johanna holds a BSc. in Ecology and Conservation from Memorial University of Newfoundland. She is currently completing her MSc. in Biology at Memorial University.
She has experience in science communication and developing social media content for local brands and environmentally focused projects.
She has experience as a field technician conducting extensive plant surveys and handling seabirds.
Johanna has a passion for foraging and gardening, and takes part in community-based programs that focus on conserving our natural spaces.
